Finishing the reading of Wool by Hugh Howey. Very good collection of shorts. An Indie Author who has just sold his story to Ridley Scott for movie rights. Wool is rather thought provoking as the author toys with your expectations and hopes.
Going to load up on Solitary as this sounds like the sci-fi I love to read … as well as write.
Monte’, good luck in the meantime and expect a review (no gaurantees) I am a wirter and a tough critic 😉

P.S. Love your website. (am already jealous!) brother!
If you like Hugh Howey I would encourage you to check out the RENEWAL series by JF Perkins. I also recommend my fellow indie author pal Michael R. Hicks. His stuff is straight-up classic scifi with some of the best characters you’ll find anywhere. Try his IN HER NAME series. Cheers!
Thanks for the personal reply Monty. I like Hugh alright but I also love to read the sci-fi variety that I love to wrtie about myself. So basically I get a lot out of seeing various writing styles and in many ways, I get inspired by it alll It puts me in my place!
I admire good writers like yourself and am not afraid of admitting that I am not only a new indie writer but also a new writer who loves to tell stories. I believe we live in one of the best times any aspiring writer (like myself) could ever dream of having. So thanks for the referrals, I look forward to reading their stories too!
I recently purchased The Watchers, and am excited to find a quiet corner to curl up and get lost in your world. I’m also a Hicks fan. I have read everything out in the In Her Name series ans can’t wait for more. I will be getting back to you as soon as I finish The Watchers.
Thanks for the kind comments. Mike Hicks is my writing mentor and a great inspiration to many indie authors. Let me also recommend Hugh Howey’s excellent series, Wool. It is amazing. You might also enjoy JF Perkins’ series, Renewal. He’s a new writer like me, but his work is excellent. I hope you enjoy CRADLE. Cheers!

I will look into your recommendations. My kids go back to school tomorrow. Spring Break ends for them and starts for me. So more reading.
