Portrait Sketch

Let me start by wishing a very Merry and Blessed Christmas to all my readers. Please remember that Christmas is truly about giving and receiving a gift. But the gift does not come in a box or bag, it is not wrapped in paper or with bows, and it cannot be returned once given and received. The gift that is at the core of Christmas is the gift of salvation that lies in Jesus Christ.

The God of the universe entered into time and space in the person of Jesus of Nazareth (Yeshua bar Jusef), lived among his creation and gave us an example of living a sinless life, then willingly took on the sins of the entire world, past, present and future, so that we could be reconciled to Him and have eternal life. To receive this gift, you need only ask. And once received, the gift can never be taken away.

All of the things we receive on Christmas will one day turn to dust and pass away. But the gift of Salvation in Christ is the only thing that has eternal value, and it is why we celebrate the birth of Jesus. I hope that if you have not already received this gift, you will consider reaching out to Christ in faith and claim the gift that is free and offered to every one of us.

2012 was a year of new beginnings, reconciled relationships, deepening faith, struggles, and great joy. I want to thank all those who supported me this year in launching my career as a professional author. The kind reviews, personal encouragement, advice, criticism, and friendly notes have meant more to me than you can know. In return, I will continue to perfect my craft, and create characters and stories that entertain, inspire, and hopefully give you something to ponder.

2013 will be year of refinement and new directions. My plans are to finish the WATCHERS trilogy, publish the supernatural thriller THE SECRET WORLD OF MARA DUFFY, continue the SOLITARY series, and begin primary research and storyboarding for an epic novel about my family history with the assistance of my mother. I pray that this year will bring new readers and new relationships as well.

My encouragement to you is that if you have an aspiration that you have not pursued, that this year would be the year you just go for it. This life is short and we are foolish to not make the most of it. So take that leap and unleash your passion. I promise you will be amazed at the results.

Many thanks and blessings to all.

In Christ,

Monty
