I feel the need to drop a little truth on y’all. So buckle up…I’m about to be politically incorrect.
We don’t need to take America back. No one stole it. It’s right here…you’re sitting in it. Chillax.
Mexico isn’t going to pay for the wall and we’re not going to deport millions of people and break up families. If you think either one is a good idea, you’re not smart and probably not a person I want to hang out with.
We don’t live in a democracy. Technically we are a Federal Republic. But in reality we are ruled by an oligarchy. If you don’t know what that is, look it up. Reading will do you good. You probably need to do more of it.
FoxNews, CNN, and MSNBC have an agenda and are not “fair and balanced” or in any way unbiased. I’ll reiterate…read more. Read newspapers (even online ones). Read lots of opinions and sources and then (stay with me here), THINK! Form your own opinion based on as many facts as your can brain can tolerate.
Speaking of facts…there actually is a difference between facts, opinions, and propaganda. You should learn the difference. (Another opportunity to show off your mad reading skills.)
Science is real. We know things because of science. Don’t be afraid of it. You have an iPhone and Facebook because of science. It’s your friend.
Global warming or “climate change” as the cool kids call it IS REAL. Anyone who tells you it’s not real is not a smart person and probably should not be dressing themselves or caring for children.
Racism exists. And you are probably a little racist and should work on that. Seriously.
American Christians are not under attack. We are not being persecuted. We wield so much power in this country that politicians pretend to be Christian just so we will vote for them. No one is trying to take your bible away from you. The gay people are not destroying our families—we don’t need any help from them, thank you. We do a fine job of that by ourselves. So stop saying we are persecuted. You sound stupid.
Poor people need help. If you’re not helping them but complaining about how the government helps them with your money you are not a nice person.
Be nice to the people who teach your children. Don’t send them nasty emails or yell at them. Their job is 10,000 times harder than your stupid job. You are not a professional educator so just shut your mouth and be thankful someone is willing to teach your offspring.
You don’t know what Common Core is. You think you do, but you don’t unless you’re a teacher. So stop complaining about math problem memes on Facebook. You can’t do the math anyway.
ISIS is not an existential threat to the United States. We do not need to rebuild our military. Our military is the strongest, scariest, most badass killing machine the world has ever seen. So stop being afraid and stop letting politicians and pundits scare you.
Guns do in fact kill people. That’s what they are designed to do. If you feel you need a gun to protect yourself in America, you are probably living in the wrong neighborhood and should move before you go out and buy a gun. There are like a billion places to live where you won’t need a gun, or even need to lock your front door.
If you do own a gun, then make sure you know how to use it really, really, really well. Seriously…get some training because you still don’t know how to record stuff with your DVR. Go to the gun range and shoot the thing a lot. Learn how to clean it properly and be able to disassemble it and reassemble it with your eyes closed. It’s a freaking gun and it deserves that level of care, proficiency and respect. And for God’s sake, keep it locked up and away from your kids.
If you are even a little bit crazy, sad, or pissed off…you shouldn’t have a gun. And the Founding Fathers would totally agree with me.
Stop being suspicious of American Muslims. I guarantee the guy sitting next to you in the cubicle at work is probably more of a threat to you than any Muslim. He has to listen to your uninformed ranting day after day and has probably already imagined very colorful and creative ways to end you.
Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck, and all the rest are ENTERTAINERS! Stop getting your opinions from them. (Here’s where that reading thing can really be an advantage.)
Stop sharing Facebook memes that tell me to share or else Jesus won’t bless me with a laundry basket full of cash. That’s not how prayer works. And I don’t want money delivered (even from God) in a laundry basket. Nobody ever washes those things out and they just keep putting nasty dirty clothes in them. Yuck!
We are the United States of America and we can afford to house every homeless veteran, feed every child, and take in every refugee and still have money left over for Starbucks and a bucket of KFC.
Unless you can trace your family line back to someone who made deerskin pants look stylish and could field dress a buffalo, you are a descendent of an immigrant. Please stop saying that immigrants are ruining our country. Such comments are like a giant verbal burrito stuffed with historical ignorance, latent racism, and xenophobia all wrapped in a fascist tortilla.
That’s all for now. I feel better.

Fab piece of blogging!! Hear hear!!! x
February 23, 2016 at 1:42 am
My sentiments with a few minor changes. I enjoyed your rant because I’ve had a similar one.
February 24, 2016 at 9:08 pm
I love 94.9999 percent of this “truth” If you are well read you know there are places where there are loads of guns and people fear for their lives on a daily basis. Yes of course some can move, or get on a boat out with great peril some even run through deserts. …not every person in this world can just walk away from the disparity that is their world. Thanks love the rest. Keep teading….peace
February 28, 2016 at 1:58 pm
I think you missed the part where he wrote “If you feel you need a gun to protect yourself in America…” I would agree that in places like Mogadishu, Bahgdad, Chihuahua, San Pedro Sula, etc. you’d be wise to pack a gun.
February 26, 2016 at 4:47 pm
Small language quibble: it’s “reeks,” not “wreaks.”
Good piece. I enjoyed reading it. Please write more.
February 29, 2016 at 10:42 am
Except for the fact that ‘wreaks’ or ‘reeks’ isn’t used anywhere…
February 29, 2016 at 12:55 pm
I read three times looking for the wreaks!
February 26, 2016 at 4:47 pm
I’m applauding right now and you didn’t even need to say “please clap.” 🙂
February 27, 2016 at 1:44 pm
Brilliant essay. Your observations are right on target.
February 27, 2016 at 1:47 pm
Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I am reposting this to my timeline.
February 27, 2016 at 7:08 pm
Thank you for so eloquently expressing in this post how I’m feeling.
February 28, 2016 at 11:04 am
Well Said.
February 27, 2016 at 8:35 pm
You’re seriously either not awake, or blind to the world around you by choice…I’m not sure which. But I can tell you that choosing to ignore the reality of the world we live in, and pretending that everything is just rainbows and unicorns is not only stupid, it’s inherently dangerous. I’ll give you that (maybe) 10% of what you had to say has any basis whatsoever in fact, the rest of it was pure bullshit, and the fact that you get on here and rant paragraphs of blind lunacy doesn’t make you smart, or well informed, it makes you just another poser with a stack of meaningless, ill-informed, and insignificant opinions…it’s even sadder that you’ve developed a following…now I’m even more disappointed in the mental state of my fellow citizens. In closing, we most definitely are NOT living in an invincible economy, our country’s in serious trouble, thanks to the jackass currently occupying OUR White House, we’re almost $20 TRILLION in debt…if we expect our country to survive, and our children to have a decent future, we can no longer be the world’s keeper, we need to put the U.S.first for a change, and the sooner you and your ilk get a grip on that, the less ignorant you’ll all become…the truth will set you free.
February 28, 2016 at 11:15 am
It’s funny how you say that so much of this article is BS, but provide no actual rebuttal. Please, tell me one thing in this post that’s not true.
March 3, 2016 at 3:07 pm
“American Christians are not under attack.”
Massachusetts no longer has Catholic adoption agency. They were forced to shut down by state.
Catholic school in Massachusetts is being sued because someone who applied for job refused to abide by their conduct policy.
Hobby Lobby and many other businesses, non-profits, cloister of nuns, etc. are being forced by law to participate in abortions; they are suing (and some have won) to restore their first amendment rights.
Yes, Christians are very much under attack. You may agree with the attacks, but fundamentally, these are attacks against the practice of Christian beliefs.
March 3, 2016 at 3:45 pm
I disagree. A corporation like Hobby Lobby pays taxes. Those taxes (including the Medicare/Medicaid tax) are used for myriad government programs. Many of those government programs offend me as a Christian. But I do not view them as a limitation of my 1st Amendment rights, nor do I view them as an attack on my faith. In Romans 13:1-7 the Apostle Paul teaches that we are to submit to the governmental authority placed over us by God. We are to pray for our leaders so they might do the will of God and we can live in peace. We are to pay our taxes and not complain about it. Do you think the Roman Empire was doing some pretty awful things with the tax dollars they collected from the Jews and the early Christians? You’d think Paul would have given us an obvious exception if we were to fret over how a government spends our tax dollars. You see…when you understand that all the money you have comes from God and is really not yours, it’s easy to pay your taxes and move on. God’s got it. We don’t have to worry about it. Peace!
February 28, 2016 at 1:24 pm
It’s funny how everyone blames that current President for the lunacies perpetrated by big banks corporations and previous, mostly Republican, Presidents, who are all supported by the GOP. Obama is only as effective as the Congress and Senate, who continue to obstruct and oppose change and choose instead to support the people they owe favours to. This writer is not saying the US is perfect, but it’s less screwed up than the conspiracy theorists and right wing alarmist would have us believe.
February 28, 2016 at 5:49 pm
Ender, you are angry for sure, yet all you do here is rant. The ranting TV talking heads have succeeded in washing your brain. No one said all is rainbow and unicorns, although that line of response is typical distraction technique. Ignorant people, who do not read a variety of opinions, tend to react as you have here, themselves blindly flailing at some perceived enemy or danger. This technique was used before in America, like when W told us that Iraq had “weapons of mass destruction” and that we HAD to go inane attack them to save ourselves. Now that entire corner of the World is in turmoil because WE came in and destroyed their governments and infrastructure, in the name of Democracy. Now the citizens of those nations suffer; now the citizens of those destroyed nations do NOT think kindly about America. Amazing that you, Ender, accuse the author of this sensible, articulate and thoughtful piece of ranting and blind lunacy when you have provided nothing else but.
February 28, 2016 at 1:07 am
Well said, containing much truth, a ND entertaining too.
February 28, 2016 at 3:55 am
One more thing, don’t read, or believe, too much liberal propaganda, it’s just as bad, or in some cases worse, than conservative propaganda.

If you’re a Christian, the word “Bible” is capitalized.
February 28, 2016 at 7:20 pm
Here lies a major load of crap-py clubs to join.
If you think the government is smarter than you and you wish to relinquish your rights a parent, think again.”The Government”, changes on a daily basis, “You”, on the other hand, are a constant. Strangers with conflicting views? Or a Parent with a consistent direction….which sounds better to you…..as for the other musings in this losers diatribe, I hear, “Give us control of your life and soul because we think we are better than you”…
February 28, 2016 at 7:50 pm
You start out lying in the FIRST sentence. You say you are about to be politically incorrect and then proceed to spew the cancer of Political Correctness to and fro. The really deadly form of PC. The kind that killed 13 at Fort Hood. Then you start talking about facts but really, EVERYTHING you say is YOUR opinion. If you lived where Illegal Mexicans had destroyed the neighborhoods, shot property taxes sky high and property values down low, drove down wages and made emergency room visits 12 hour waits as they use it for primary care, as well as killing people drunk driving in 500 dollar cars DAILY. Then you would probably not throw around words like “xenophobia”. The first time you drive through YOUR neighborhood and see houses for sale with the FOR SALE sign in SPANISH and NOTHING on the sign in English, It makes being a bleeding heart a little harder. I can imagine if you live in Maine or up on the Canadian shield or in Wisconsin, that Mexicans have not had much impact on your world. No one is as much a hypocrite as the committed liberal. Hillary wants to raise everyone’s taxes and she took donations of used underwear to goodwill off her taxes. I want them out of the shadows also. So it will be easier to deport them.
The worst thing about your snarky narcissistic turd tone is your implication over and over that the only people who can and do read are those who agree with you. Total Bullshit. Conservatives are the best informed people around. Not the pro Wrestling fans who are going to vote for Trump but real social conservatives. I have been handed reading and communications awards since I was 6. I listen to at least one book on CD a week and read another paper book a week and also do a fair bit of writing. Many of the books I read, like Patrick O’brian, require a Lexicon to understand the text (A special dictionary). I am in discussion groups on line with PHD’s all over the world. I have been a committed reader for at least FIFTY YEARS. The smart assed snarky stuff about reading is offensive as hell…Being a social Conservative does not make one Illiterate. Mr. Fowler, You should read some Thomas Sowell or William F. Buckley or Mark Steyn or Ben Shapiro. Or Ann Coulter or……… I could go on forever. I just love it when people who get their opinions from the N.Y. Times and MSNBC give lectures to those who listen to Rush and Hannity. I DO get my opinions from reading and thinking. And I always have. MOST conservatives do.
There is a GIANT difference between leaving Homosexuals alone to do their thing and issuing them a license or letting them shower with our granddaughters. Or forcing churches, bakery’s, photographers, etc to participate or celebrate two hairy assed men with size 13 shoes deep kissing in front of an alter of god. I believe they have an agenda and I believe the kids are part of that agenda. You want Politically Incorrect? HERE IS politically incorrect. I think many homosexuals are also prone to being pedophiles. Some of us will NEVER accept gay “marriage”. My state voted it down 80/20. Liberal California voted it down TWICE. Yeah, I know that we don’t have a pure democracy. And MILLIONS are so pissed about being sold out by big GOP, Fox news, Roves RINOS, The SCOTUS, etc, And used as vote mules for the rich, that they are going to vote in a orange faced carnival barker to get revenge. I can’t participate in that but I understand.
Global Warming? Yeah, I am one of those fools. People like you, Mr. Fowler, think Christian people (I’m not really religious but I do vote with them), You think Christian people who say, “God said it, I believe it and that settles it” are nuts. THEN…You say ‘Global warming (or climate change or the phrase of the day) is “settled science” so if you don’t believe it you are stupid. What on earth is the difference except for OPINION? By the way, Even if you believe the left wing climate change scientists (there are LOTS on the other side), THOSE SAME SCIENTISTS say that even if we all parked our cars and went back to the caves we could not do 1% of what needs to be done or even to offset the carbon of 2 good Volcano eruptions. As for MY opinion, I think Green is the new RED. I think communism failed and it is simply a new way to redistribute wealth. There are well meaning Climate change folks. But most of them have a Christ complex. They have a problem because mummy or da -da like a sibling better or they never got around to writing that novel or somehow fell short in their own mind….But Hey…YOU CAN SAVE US ALL!!! That’s way more important than writing songs like Springsteen? Right? Wrong. They should save themselves and leave the rest of us alone. I think there is a much better chance of mankind dying out from a disease caused by homosexuals becoming airborne than global warming or cooling. But one day the earth will end. Unless you believe in a all powerful god and that’s a matter of faith that I am not qualified to address.
What on earth qualifies you to speak about our Military? I did 22 years. Most of it in the recruiting business. I have some idea. Morale is at it’s lowest point since the worst days of Nam. Corrupt social engineering and cutting funds have gutted it. Our military has been forignized, feminized and homosexualized to death. The lies that were told about troop surveys that NEVER happened and the cherry picking of the few that did in order to illegally repeal DADT is the single worse thing this country has EVER done. Chuck Halgel was Obama’s first SOD. In his book Hagel openly admits that Obama had little interest in the military except to force the kids who fight our wars to do so under openly homosexual Commanders and NCO’s. Just what a quality 18 yr old boy wants to hear. Maybe not. Wow. Hagle’s replacement, Leon Panetta was the first in HISTORY to allow the uniform of the armed forced to be worn in a political parade. A GAY PRIDE PARADE. And our ships at sea have been turned into floating brothels as females are put in positions of combat and sea duty for which they are not qualified. People have died and will die because of this failed social experiment. California politicians wangle their way onto appropriations committees and trade funding for Eloi left rule changes. People with names like Pelosi, Boxer, Waters, Feinstein, etc, push women into combat jobs that they do not and never will quality for. Morale sucks. And the best are not enlisting anymore. I don’t blame them. No way I would have served in a Air Force where my First Sgt, Frank Smith would be in his uniform in the morning and show up at the NCO club in a evening gown and size 14 pink pumps that night. The kicker? One little snicker gets you busted or thrown out……No amount of counseling will erase the picture in my mind of the peoples White house lit in rainbow the night “Justice” Kennedy decided to vote for gay marriage. If Kennedy wakes up in the right mood, soon a 50 year old man can marry a 8 year old boy. Or his chain saw. Or his pet hedgehog. Or all of them at once.
The one thing I agree with you about is the religious stuff and the get rich stuff on face book. But it’s easy to get rid of and easy to keep away from it. And I am leery of those, like you, who want to tell people what face book is for. Some people think it was created so they would have a place to show the world pictures of their kids or grand kids. Or to put pics of themselves they think are flattering and fish for compliments, etc. Some of the pious want to evangelize and preach their religion. Some like to argue politics. Surely you are one of those, albeit in a cowardly way because you would be destroyed in a debate by ANY committed conservative of average intelligence.
Now I feel A LOT better.
February 28, 2016 at 9:44 pm
Wow, Dave King, nothing says “I’m a frustrated closeted homosexual” like non-sequitur ranting about homosexuals to strangers on an internet-based blog. Good for you; it’s the first step toward your personal reconciliation. I suggest you seek counseling before you are exposed in some truck stop glory hole or via inappropriate tweets, like so many of your (wink, wink) homophobic conservative political brethren. God bless!
February 29, 2016 at 1:07 pm
I feel sorry for you…get some treatment for your delusions.
March 1, 2016 at 10:48 am
Wow, you sound JUST LIKE TRUMP! Bigoted, sexist, homophobic, anti-Christian, with obnoxious analogies “If Kennedy wakes up in the right mood, soon a 50-year-old man can marry an 8-year-old boy. Or his chain saw. Or his pet hedgehog. Or all of them at once.” WTHeck? The only intelligent thing I’ve read is “about the religious stuff” and “the rich stuff.” God doesn’t work that and those who believe they can get rich by “sharing” some garbage and ignorant at best. And the only “cowardly” person I’ve read from today is YOU. I have respect for all military men AND women, but you made fellow bigots and haters proud with your rant. I would say call you by Sir here, as I would normally address someone from our military as “Sir” or “Ma’am,” but for you, I will not because someone who spews bigoted rants doesn’t deserve that respectful title. However, I am a Christian and I forgive as God commands us to. As someone told me once, “love and forgive the sinner… not the sin,” so I’ll end my comment with I love you… as Christ loves us ALL… despite having an intense feeling of doom that you’ll have an absolutely hateful retort about me and my view of your hatred on this page for even SAYING I’m a Christian. Nevertheless, I forgive you… for your Trumpishness bigotedness, sexism, homophobia and anti-Christian comments you said and those I suspect you WILL say… and I pray for you and those like you who continue to spew hate throughout this country… and the world.
March 1, 2016 at 12:27 pm
Did you read the same document I did? Doesn’t sound like it.
March 1, 2016 at 3:31 pm
I was responding to a hugely bigoted response…

February 28, 2016 at 7:56 pm
Fabulous essay. As a Canadian I am flummoxed by how little some Americans know of their country and many others, and how much they believe the crap dished out by newsertainers.
Some of the comments mean that they did not take your advice to read, and bible is not necessarily capitalized.
February 28, 2016 at 7:57 pm
I don’t know you but I want to give you a big hug and some (friendly) kisses. I like your truth. Keep spreading it around. Thank you!

I’m typically considered a fiscal conservative (and we ARE running out of money) and a social moderate. I don’t care much for the doctrinaire extreme right wing. I care equally little for those who feel the need to lecture me and others on every liberal point. When you instruct your readers to form their own opinions and then state, as fact, every stereotype liberal position with no exceptions, I’m suspicious that you don’t take your own advice. Also, you speak from an assumed position of being completely right, e.g. your statement the “And you are probably a little racist and should work on that”
A point-by-point rebuttal would be tedious and wasteful of time. However, there are some assumptions you make that are dead wrong……
1) You certainly imply that conservatives (or anyone who disagrees with you) totally reject climate change. It’s difficult to reject something that has been happening for millions of years and is well-documented. What some of us reject is the sudden crisis that has been pressed on us by self-appointed entertainer/scientists that justified the Obama giveaway to his friends and supporters (Solyndra, community organizers squirting caulk into windows at exhorbitant prices…) There is climate change, and there is legitimate debate as to the nature and pace of it.
2) Regarding your all-seeing, all-knowing statements about firearms, you are correct that none of us live in Mogadishu or Jerusalem, but the number of crimes that are stopped or deterred either by firearms or by the potential of residents prepared to defend themselves is immense. We are not far from the British circumstance of having constables come around a day or two after a crime to take a report; actually that is common in this country as well in large urban areas.
I own firearms; my wife and I know how to use them if the need arises. I don’t hunt but I do shoot in competition, a quite legitimate sport. You are not compelled to have one, and I’m happy that you live in a place where you can leave your doors unlocked.
3) Regarding race and sexual orientation…..you make the common mistake of confusing racism and prejudice. Perhaps you should define your terms. I don’t like and don’t associate with racist people….defined as you might agree as holding the opinion that ALL members of an identified racial group are genetically inferior to a significant degree and, by implication, should be treated differently. Educated liberals and conservatives don’t have those feelings. To the contrary, my belief is in treating people equally. To the extent that I don’t respect or like, extreme right-wingers or knee-jerk liberals, I also reserve the right to not like gang-bangers or wannabes and to feel that their own community has let them down.
4) Few people have made blanket statements about all Muslims. The big “howevers” are that there is a global conflict that has come to our shores perpetrated by SOME Muslims, and that Christians have been a favored target for murder in the Middle East. Not debatable facts. You cite our strong military, yet the Obama administration and the hapless Clinton/Kerry State Department has routinely botched their efforts.
By implication, your position is that there are no problems in our society, in our country, or in our influence on the world that are not the result of conservative forces. An oversimplification and wrong, I think.
I would hope that many of your readers would see the condescending tone and self righteousness that permeates your comments.
Submitted respectfully
February 29, 2016 at 5:57 pm
Moderate: I agree with your rebuttal entirely.
Liberals are blamers. They are also sheep, easily led.
February 29, 2016 at 9:14 am
I disagree with your first comment on guns. Moving is not an option for many due to housing costs. If you’re living on the south-side of Chicago, having someone TELL YOU to pick up and move to the ‘burbs is simply ridiculous.
The better statement can be stolen from famous firearms instructor John Farnham- “99% of armed conflict can be avoided by following one simple rule: Don’t do stupid things with stupid people in stupid places at stupid times.”. If you aren’t doing/selling drugs, hanging out with criminals or out past 11 pm, your odds of needing a gun drop dramatically. Those odds do not, however, disappear.
I’ll also say that “Guns kill people” is an oversimplification. Guns are used to both attack and defend. According to the CDC, guns are used 50k-2 million times a year to prevent or stop crime. Most of these do not involve a shot fired and aren’t even reported. There remains a valid reason in this country to keep and bear arms. “When seconds matter, the cops will be there in minutes”. We are all responsible for our lives and defense thereof.
I’ll also posit that, as written in the constitution, the right to bear arms is not only to defend yourself from criminals, but your government as well. Argue all you want, this is still a relevant issue.
I do laud your request that gun owners be safe, proficient and trained with their weapons. I would like to hear more about your experiences as a gun owner. Are you versed in the 4 rules of gun handling? Perhaps an article on *actual* gun safety would be a good idea.
The rest of what you say is spot-on.
February 29, 2016 at 12:55 pm
Wow! you’re pretty full of yourself aren’t you? It must be nice to have it all figured out. 99.9% of your rhetoric is just that. Rhetoric. Guns have NEVER Killed people. If I place a gun on a table in front of you, it will not kill you no matter how badly someone may want it to. It is only by the actions of one whose sole intent it is to murder will that gun kill you.
Climate change is real. Yes, this is true, but not to the extent you folks wish it were. The climate is always changing. Is it because mankind is killing the Earth? maybe, probably. Does this mean that we need to do a better job of taking care of your Planet? Yes, but not because some Moron out there decides that the Creation is greater than the Creator. We should take care of this planet because our Creator told us to tend to his creation.
Reading is Fundamental. Your sarcastic tone is duly noted. Just because someone write an article, a book, a blog, a post that differs from your ‘Opinion’ doesn’t mean that ‘those illiterate conservatives are at it again’. It just means that someone out there has used their big beautiful brain as well and have formulated an opinion that differs from yours. It doesn’t mean they’re stupid, it doesn’t mean they haven’t learned how to open a book or put a sentence together, it just means that it is a different opinion than yours.
Your ‘opinion’ is that we are ruled by an Oligarchy, but that is simply not true nor was that the intention of our Founding Fathers. You Nation does need to be taken back. Our nation has been lost to individuals who have not come her to assimilate into America, but to change America into a small piece of the country that they left. “Little Italy”, “Little Mexico”, “Little Germany”, “Little Cuba”, any of these ring a bell? No? How about ‘African American’, “Hispanic American’, ‘Asian American’? We’re supposed to be a Nation of Americans not a Nation of Hyphens.
As one of the other posters put it, you are more than welcome to live in your fairy tale of Rainbows and Butterflies, but this Nation is in a Crisis and is changing every day and not for the better. You sit behind your little keyboard and think you’re a genius because you can muster a handful of seemingly intelligent sentences together, but you’re just reiterating the same insane Liberal nonsense that those on the left have been spouting for the last 8 years.
Sounds like more of a Robot than a Free Thinker to me.
Homosexuals indeed have an agenda and many have said so. You can say that us ‘Christians’ are just being paranoid, but there are many in that community that have stated that they do have an agenda to transform and demolish the American Family as we know it. And, until Christians stand up for the word of God and stop being cowards to this minority of Americans they will continue to forge ahead with that agend every chance they get and it’s liberals like yourself who empower them to do so.
We’re all entitled to our opinions, but please don’t put all your ‘Faith’ into that so called science you elevate to some deity. Science isn’t fact. Science is opinions and educated guesses. They create Hypotheses and then try to test out those Hypotheses in order to turn a ‘Guess’ into a ‘Fact’. Science changes every day. Facts do not change. So please do not try to put all your eggs in that basket.
There are so many things wrong with your little rant, but that’s all it really is; a cute little rant. Enjoy that little fairy tale of a world that you live in. I’ll choose to live in reality.

I shared a link to this on Tumblr. There should always be a Tumblr share button if you want young people to absorb these things. They are an amazing generation and are the ones who will help our world be a better place.

This article says it all. Truly hope that many of us utilize these suggestions for our own benefit & to be engaged with others to provide options to encourage empathy & compassion, while not being overwhelmed with fear.

Amen. That’s all I can say about what you have said.

Well that pretty much sums it up in a nutshell! (Unless you’re one of those nutcases above)

I loved everything you said. One thing that has not been brought out by any candidates or any media is that the GOP has blocked everything the past 7 years, leading to a dysfunctional government, yet these GOP followers don’t seem, or want to see that the party they are backing is the cause of the dysfunction.

Oh yes. How I love a good rant, and this, sir, is a good rant!

I just want to thank you for your post about ” Taking America Back” today on my FB feed.
You wrote everything I think every day as I read and hear so much uninformed blustering around me.
There was no place to comment, so I’m writing you.
Tip of the hat and thank you

While you make some accurate observations, they are not made any more accurate or poignant by the snarky, condescending tone.
I too believe that the poor need help, gays should have equal rights, guns should be used responsibly. I read everything I can about our economy and our government. That does not make me a liberal, it makes me a libertarian.
The very best way to help poor people would be to end the Federal Reserve. Quit printing money!
As for racism, the party that promises to unite is guilty of race baiting all the time.
Pretending that there is not a war on Christians and Radical Islam is nothing to worry about does not make people more tolerant, it makes people defensive and paranoid. If we acknowledge that there is a problem, only then can it be solved.
As for common core, it is not something I know much about because I do not have children. However I am quite certain that many people with children really have done their research. I am sure that some of these complaints hold validity. How snarky of you to say that being a teacher is so much more difficult than other jobs. You don’t know what jobs your readers hold. All though it is quite clear that this article is not meant to persuade conservatives to your side. Rather it is meant to assert your moral and intellectual superiority. You speak of propaganda but you have obviously fallen prey to liberal propaganda.

This…”We don’t need to take America back. No one stole it. It’s right here…you’re sitting in it. Chillax.” rather contradicts your assertion that we’ve become an Oligarchy don’t you think.
Even you cannot be saying we have always been an Oligarchy and by design.
So basically, you’ve written a condescending (articulately put) rant against everyone that disagrees with you that isn’t even logically consistent with itself. Not saying it’s all wrong, I actually agree with a lot of it. I am saying that you’re not as much smarter than everyone else as you seem to think you are, Chillax.

thanks for the reminder to check ourselves, sometimes we get lazy and get our information from social sites and entertainment TV shows instead of doing a little legwork. Have a great day! Thanks again!! K

“Global warming or “climate change” as the cool kids call it IS REAL. Anyone who tells you it’s not real is not a smart person and probably should not be dressing themselves or caring for children.”
Yes, Global warming or climate change is real. What people who read and understand science are trying to say though is it’s not simply THAT the world has been warming because “that’s a given”…a 4th grade science student can see that. The argument is, and always has been about what has been CAUSING the earth to warm.
Science has still not documented the exact cause; however, science has made it abundantly clear what has not caused global warming :-). So I applaud that you’re encouraging others to read more….people have NOT read nearly enough on this subject.

Too long winded. Too many insignificant opinions. The writer needs to get out more. Put the books and iPads down and go for a walk, it’s good for your health 👍
