I feel the need to drop a little truth on y’all. So buckle up…I’m about to be politically incorrect.
We don’t need to take America back. No one stole it. It’s right here…you’re sitting in it. Chillax.
Mexico isn’t going to pay for the wall and we’re not going to deport millions of people and break up families. If you think either one is a good idea, you’re not smart and probably not a person I want to hang out with.
We don’t live in a democracy. Technically we are a Federal Republic. But in reality we are ruled by an oligarchy. If you don’t know what that is, look it up. Reading will do you good. You probably need to do more of it.
FoxNews, CNN, and MSNBC have an agenda and are not “fair and balanced” or in any way unbiased. I’ll reiterate…read more. Read newspapers (even online ones). Read lots of opinions and sources and then (stay with me here), THINK! Form your own opinion based on as many facts as your can brain can tolerate.
Speaking of facts…there actually is a difference between facts, opinions, and propaganda. You should learn the difference. (Another opportunity to show off your mad reading skills.)
Science is real. We know things because of science. Don’t be afraid of it. You have an iPhone and Facebook because of science. It’s your friend.
Global warming or “climate change” as the cool kids call it IS REAL. Anyone who tells you it’s not real is not a smart person and probably should not be dressing themselves or caring for children.
Racism exists. And you are probably a little racist and should work on that. Seriously.
American Christians are not under attack. We are not being persecuted. We wield so much power in this country that politicians pretend to be Christian just so we will vote for them. No one is trying to take your bible away from you. The gay people are not destroying our families—we don’t need any help from them, thank you. We do a fine job of that by ourselves. So stop saying we are persecuted. You sound stupid.
Poor people need help. If you’re not helping them but complaining about how the government helps them with your money you are not a nice person.
Be nice to the people who teach your children. Don’t send them nasty emails or yell at them. Their job is 10,000 times harder than your stupid job. You are not a professional educator so just shut your mouth and be thankful someone is willing to teach your offspring.
You don’t know what Common Core is. You think you do, but you don’t unless you’re a teacher. So stop complaining about math problem memes on Facebook. You can’t do the math anyway.
ISIS is not an existential threat to the United States. We do not need to rebuild our military. Our military is the strongest, scariest, most badass killing machine the world has ever seen. So stop being afraid and stop letting politicians and pundits scare you.
Guns do in fact kill people. That’s what they are designed to do. If you feel you need a gun to protect yourself in America, you are probably living in the wrong neighborhood and should move before you go out and buy a gun. There are like a billion places to live where you won’t need a gun, or even need to lock your front door.
If you do own a gun, then make sure you know how to use it really, really, really well. Seriously…get some training because you still don’t know how to record stuff with your DVR. Go to the gun range and shoot the thing a lot. Learn how to clean it properly and be able to disassemble it and reassemble it with your eyes closed. It’s a freaking gun and it deserves that level of care, proficiency and respect. And for God’s sake, keep it locked up and away from your kids.
If you are even a little bit crazy, sad, or pissed off…you shouldn’t have a gun. And the Founding Fathers would totally agree with me.
Stop being suspicious of American Muslims. I guarantee the guy sitting next to you in the cubicle at work is probably more of a threat to you than any Muslim. He has to listen to your uninformed ranting day after day and has probably already imagined very colorful and creative ways to end you.
Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck, and all the rest are ENTERTAINERS! Stop getting your opinions from them. (Here’s where that reading thing can really be an advantage.)
Stop sharing Facebook memes that tell me to share or else Jesus won’t bless me with a laundry basket full of cash. That’s not how prayer works. And I don’t want money delivered (even from God) in a laundry basket. Nobody ever washes those things out and they just keep putting nasty dirty clothes in them. Yuck!
We are the United States of America and we can afford to house every homeless veteran, feed every child, and take in every refugee and still have money left over for Starbucks and a bucket of KFC.
Unless you can trace your family line back to someone who made deerskin pants look stylish and could field dress a buffalo, you are a descendent of an immigrant. Please stop saying that immigrants are ruining our country. Such comments are like a giant verbal burrito stuffed with historical ignorance, latent racism, and xenophobia all wrapped in a fascist tortilla.
That’s all for now. I feel better.

Thank you, your blog it basically sums up my perspective on the political rants and media garbage that are polluting minds and preventing us from solving problems. I’m really getting tired of the political bashing filled with hatred. America is filled with brilliant engineers and scientists that believe in a higher power (the most brilliant scientist in the universe) that care about America so let’s focus and strengthen on the good things that unify us as Americans, rather than the petty things that divide us. We should be forcing Washington and leaders to practice the 8D problem solving principles to determine the real root cause and fix it versus penalizing the victims, to me that is real justice and leadership. We all know band-aiding the symptoms doesn’t permanently solve the problems and we all see the results of the political band-aids that only benefit lobbyists.

I thought I was the only one who thought, felt that way! Phew! Glad to know there’s at least 2 of us that aren’t aliens. LOL. That’s how it feels though when you try and explain to someone to really look at what is going on and stop being so blinded by BS. They look at me like I’M THE CRAZY ONE. If you ever decide to run for president you have my vote! I took a chance on reading your article and I’m very grateful I did. Looking forward to reading more of what you have written. Take care. Awesome rant!
March 1, 2016 at 12:06 pm
Dennis Miller ends his rants with, “Of course, that’s just my opinion. I could be wrong.” It’s a good model. You might want to give it a try.
A lot of your “truth” boils down to “STFU if your way of looking at things differs from mine.” Much of it is stunningly illogical. If we accept your premise that the U.S. is in the hands of an oligarchy then Christians — or anyone else — can’t have meaningful power. An oligarchy is more than capable of twisting “REAL” science into policies that suit its agenda. If an oligarchy has taken control of a Republic how is there not a need to take it back (except among those who like the way the oligarchy is ruling)?
You make much of having professional standing to comment on an area of life yet you have none, as far as can be seen from your bio, except for computers and missionary work. So we should do as you say but not as you do…?
I have a Ph.D. in Teacher Education and I can tell you that Common Core is just one more money-maker for the textbook industry. Sure, the lousy math problems that people share on Facebook have been around a lot longer than Common Core but that’s part of the problem. There is an ed.gov-education industry complex that’s just as real as the military one. Since you like to read try “The Predictable Failure of Education Reform” by Seymour B. Sarason.
While there isn’t a good reason to be nasty about it, parents have both a right and obligation to speak up if they think there’s an issue with their child’s education. In fact, even if it’s only on paper — and I say this as a History and Government teacher — in this country we have the right and obligation to oversee our public servants at every level and, therefore, we Christians come under the Biblical admonitions directed towards rulers as well as those for citizens.
If your “Asseverations” are more than poetic desiderata then you’ve chosen to cede those rights and obligations. That’s fine, I respect your choice but it isn’t binding on others. Making out that it is is just as erroneous as a Facebook “blessings” chain-letter.
Of course, that’s just my opinion. I could be wrong.
March 1, 2016 at 4:10 pm
Thank you. I am sitting here as a doctoral candidate in Education working on my dissertation and I feel very much like you said. His post infuriated me with the blatant arrogance and ignorance it portrayed. I am VERY anti CCSS. It is corporate greed and buying our children at its worst. I got very quickly fed up with his “My way or the highway” approach.
I have refused standardized testing for our son and will continue to do so. Not going into it, but it is destroying our children.
Speaking of having agendas, he has his own and he is grinding it. He says to read and read more, but you have to be selective in what you choose to consume. He needs to spend some actual time reading as well, or else he runs the risk of looking not only dumber than he sounds, but quite hypocritical as well.
Of course, that’s just my opinion. I could be wrong.

If I had the time I could easily debate this gentleman on almost every point he tries to make starting his statement that America is a Federal Republic, wrong it is a Constitutional Republic. For those that do not know the difference, including you Mr. Fowler, I would suggest that you do some research on the subject.
Homeless and veterans. This is a subject that is very near and dear to me being a veteran and having been homeless. If we have enough money to solve both of these issues, which I know that we could quite easily do so. Why then do our representatives choose to send countless I billions overseas and to Mexico (Fast and Furious) while allowing thousands of our own citizens to starve, go without needed healthcare and freeze to death in the winter while giving also giving handouts to able bodied people that produce offspring just to get a bigger check?
You say I don’t need a gun. Again I am an expert shot. I know how to handle just about any weapon you can hand me. I was in the Marine Corps for almost 10 years and can break down and put together any weapon that I own and many that I don’t, blindfolded. I enjoy target shooting because of the discipline and control that is required both mind and body. I also own guns for protection and because it is my right to do so.
I could go on however I simply do not have the time right now.
Perhaps later.

This person must be some kind of liberal nut , or else he’s living on another planet. We don’t have to fear Isis? Where are your eyes, ears, brains? These people are cutting off people’s heads, killing innocent people and vowing to kill anyone that does not share their ideology. Yes, we can afford to feed all the vets, etc. but do we? We don’t seem to care how they are living, and do NOT provide adequate health care to those people that fought for this country and helped to keep it free. No, we are giving away billions of dollars to countries that are vowing to destroy us, and that HATE us as a people. No, we are not dumb, we read, we listen, we make choices. I think this country has gone much too far to the left, and, by the way, they don’t call the Right ” the Right ” for no reason at all, perhaps it is the “RIGHT” way to go????
March 2, 2016 at 12:26 am
He didn’t say that we shouldn’t fear Da’esh, just that it isn’t an existential threat and that we shouldn’t allow fear of it to be inflated and manipulated.

Like you I research topics quite a bit. I agree with some of what you say, but disagree with a good part as well. Since you covered so much, I will only give my opinions, as all you gave were opinions while ranting about facts.
People use guns to kill people. No gun I have seen, except malfunctioning ones, have ever squeezed their own trigger. People do. People have also used sticks, knives, plastic bags, baseball bats rubber tubing, and many other things to kill with. Should we get rid of them all?
The climate is changing. With that fact, I agree with you. It has done it throughout time. It did it before people, and will continue to do so if we disappear. That is science as well. Read a book yourself.
Helping the less fortunate. I am all for it. Making a career out of me helping you, I don’t support, and will do everything I can to make sure no one else does either. I believe we should help people get back on their feet, but if you aren’t willing to help a little bit, I am all for leaving you behind. Drug testing and birth control should be mandatory for anyone receiving Government Assistance. It should not be a free-rider for life, or a way of life as it currently is for millions. I know this because my mother was a Social Worker for over 20 years. The last 10, she worked to catch people fraud ingredients the system. It wasn’t hard work for her, but there was plenty of it.
Immigration. Yep, you are correct, my forefathers came thru Ellis Island. They were legal immigrants. I have no issue with legal immigration. Keep it up. Stop illegal immigration. I don’t see a possibility to get rid of all illegals, but if they get arrested, they will be deported. Don’t want to break up your illegal immigrants family, don’t break the law. Easy enough.
Hope that was literate enough for you. I don’t really care if it wasnt. Enjoy your rant.
March 2, 2016 at 12:48 am
Yes, guns are no better suited to killing people than sticks, knives, &c., which is why our troops are equipped exclusively with all those others, and not guns. And there are no other uses for sticks, knives, and so on, so vanning them would be exactly like banning guns, which he never suggested anyway.
The climate us changing in ways different to how it has generally changed before we started dumping staggering amounts of carbon into the atmosphere for centuries; the overwhelming majority of people who study the matter agree with that contention, not a perfect argument but a great indication of how to bet…as the venal, non-crunchy, profit-driven insurance companies seem all to be betting. …and it jibes with what this physicist understands.
The poor ought to be helped both because it were right to avoid the Sin of Dodom and to prove how rich we are. …and because they are not a different species; you or I could well become poor: anyone’s job might in any given year be automated out of existence, and we are all one cerebral vascular accident away from dependency. And, quite frankly, because I’ve never liked any job I’ve had to have out of necessity, and think them antithetical to liberty, I welcome the elimination of most jobs, but am not in favour of mass starvation and exposure.
Even when there were few laws inhibiting immigration (except if you were Chinese) people broke them or evaded them to get in, lying about marriages, politics, and whether you had just drunk a cup of olive oil to quieten that cough or glazed your eyes with balsam to hide glaucoma… so have a little rachmones for the illegal… save your ire for the American who violates labour laws by underpaying them.
March 6, 2016 at 1:42 pm
Hand guns and assault rifle’s only purpose is to kill people.
Climate is and does change without interference from man. However 99% of scientists world wide concur that mankind’s interference has created a disastrous hastening of climate change. This is not even open to opinion anymore. Disputing this is like saying snow isn’t cold. It’s being obtuse and uninformed.
And again….. Public assistance is available for 2, count em, 2 years.
And, sorry to burst right wing talking points, but there are now more illegal immigrants LEAVING the US than are entering. This statistic began in November. And to set the right wing talking points straight, most undocumented workers here pay taxes, but are unable to receive benefits from doing so. They do NOT get free health care.
Talking to those who complete their opinions by repeating the right wing talking points from Faux news and others is like talking to a 5 year old who tells his teacher that his big brother says that sky is actually green. No matter what the teacher or anyone says, the 5year old says “nuh, uh! It is green, it is green! My brother said so!

Stop posing as an informed intellectual on any level and get your head out of the Kool Aid drenched sand you are hiding in. PS: Most gun deaths are in poor inner-city neighborhoods due to gang violence and thoughtless violence of any sort. Care to help those people move as your intelligent quip implies they should? I thought so. But please, keep pretending that middle-class people with legal guns are running wild in the streets.
Here is a presentation of facts you may or may not find worth your valuable time. Or you can keep posting mouth-breathing nonsense to Huffington Post, a website as visible a form of propaganda as any you claim to be above. I love the psedo-academic act though.

I feel better too. i enjoyed your rant. Someone pointed out that we are a constitutional republic and while this is technically true it demonstrates that this commenter is perhaps unaware of the extent to which the “oligarchy” of which you speak, influences legislators and their policy making. Also, as for common core, someone with an education degree also commented earlier about refusing standardized testing for their child… and while that is well and good as an individual choice it doesn’t make much sense compared to the concept behind common core. which is a good concept. some of the states in the union who take the greatest offense to common core site that it is an instrument for dumbing down our students….looking at their history and national rankings in almost every conceivable category, i would argue that this is not possible. Besides, common core isn’t the same as No Child Left Behind. To the person who thinks the “Right” is right….. well really the right and the left are two sides of the same coin. The right wants to impose their regulations on private matters such as what I do with my body, or who I sleep with, while giving relatively free reign to business sector, and the left wants to deregulate my body, my worship etc…. and regulate the business sector. Both sides are screaming rights. Right to Life, Right to Choice…. Neither side is particularly fond of Responsibility which is the key to all those issues facing the right and the left. So, no, sorry the “right” is not called right because it’s “RIGHT” nor is the left right either. The only issue that i took exception to in your rant was the idea that someone in a neighbor hood where they thought they needed a gun could just pick up and move…. that’s a bit unrealistic. Some folks just can’t do that and if they are so inclined to get a firearm for protection then so be it. This is still their “right” however i do agree first and foremost that it should be done with the utmost responsibility.

Well said !
March 2, 2016 at 12:23 am
One way to learn to use a gun well would be to drill, baby, drill, every week as part of a well-regulated militia—and that way, if you start to go off the deep end, some other people with guns might notice the fact, and take away your guns just as a friend would take away your car keys if you were drunk,to protect themselves, you, people around you, and the good name of gun owners. Why is this important?…because a lot of gun crime has less to do with Bad Guys than with a Good (or Indifferent) Guy having a Bad Day.

Wow, what a Dumb Ass.
Here are my comments….
Although I find this article making some valid points, it has many holes and many generalities.
As for the Wall, yes we need it. We turn our backs on those walking across the border or give them court dates that they never show up to. The point here is not the allowing of immigrants to come in. The point is knowing who they are and where they are, as well as making sure those coming in are going to be those that benefit our society. Not those that will drain it. And I say that with the meaning that there is a difference between welfare giving someone a hand and an opportunity to stand up versus welfare being a way of life and an excuse not to work. We need the first type, not the second.
Our country was built on immigrants, but built on those who wanted a better life and contributed, not on those that used the system. And we want those who want good for our country. Without knowing who is coming in we don’t know who are the good guys and who are the bad guys. We need to keep the bad guys out. Simple logic – If you don’t understand that you are an idiot.
And yes, Mexico can pay for the wall. Through increases in taxes, tarriffs, and fees. They may not pay for it one way but they will another. They want us, and need us. Why else would they insist on open borders with us yet they are now taking steps to tighten their own southern borders. Look it up, don’t be a chump.
Yes, Climate change is real. But there are so many people that want to push the agenda that man is THE cause of it and we must take drastics steps to stop it. When was the last time you stopped a hurricane by stepping in front of it, and when was the last time you saw another person blow and create it. Though there may be a human component to it, is far more a natural process. We did not create the ice age or the following warming. We did not cause the once fertile areas in Egypt, Africa to become barren. As we do not affect the climate on Mars which has been noted to have temerature changes. There is a segment of our political class who saw an opportunity to take advantage of a more natural phenonenom and blame us, and got rich from doing so (Al Gore). Climate stations have been identified that have recorded higher temperatures and have been shown to no longer be accurate. One with a bad light switch keeping the bulb on all the time. One that was once in a field now at the end of an asphalt runway. Many Many others that once were remote and later in populated or developed areas. Really, does it take even a high school degree to understand a temperature station once in an open beautiful field but now in a developed area with roads, asphalt, homes, buildings will not read higher now? Stop being a jackass and get an education.
Racism – Yes it does exist. And guess what? It exists among all races! Whites are not the cause of it. And so many lies are told to justify the black story. I recently heard of a textbook telling of millions of slaves brought in to the US. Guess what? About 400k. And what flag was this done under? The United States Flag, not the Confederate. So yes, it does exist. But so many in the liberal armys want to make up their own truth to justify their position.
We as a Country need to stop the fighting and start helping each other. And those that want to sit on their asses afraid and unwilling to take responsibility? To Hell with them. Save those willing to work together to build a better country. Others? Let them beg on the street.
Ans as for Hate Crimes – If your white and say something mean you are prosecuted under a hate crime. But be a group of black teens in Washington DC and you beat and rob a white marine because he doesn’t agree with your “Black Lives Matter” rant then you will get off with a simple assault and not charged with a hate crime. Your a minority they believe, so you can’t be hateful or racist. Please you dumb asses.
Christians not being persecuted? What do you call it when if your Gay, or Black, or Latino, or Muslim you have rights. But if your a business owner and decline (Politely) work you don’t want to do you are prosecuted (And persecuted). You pay fines. But if your a gay business owner or a minority you can do what you want without being prosecuted.
Poor people need help. Ok. But to what level? Help as educational opportunities, a hand up to dig out of a hole, yes. Absolutely. But to be bottle fed and asses wiped and still not willing to stand up on your own? Really? Help yes, bottle feeding those that refuse to help themselves, no.
ISIS not a threat? The only reason is something called the Atlantic Ocean. But open your eyes to Europe. This week a Muslim Nanny cut the head off of the toddler she was caring for because Alah told her to do it. Do you even read anything about Germany? New Years Eve Rapes? Keep the door open. They are coming in. The Koran tells followers they have the right to kill non believers. Ever hear of George Washington and Thomas Jefferson’s war with Islam? No, really? Was right after our revolutionary war.
And Jefferson’s Koran? Jefferson obtained a Koran so that he could understand his enemy. The US Printing in 1806 of the Koran was printed and distributed so that American Leaders could understand their enemy. The Preface of this edition which was requested for printing says it all. Following are the last two pages of the preface:
“They fear to utter things that may displease their false prophet. Most of their doctors affirm those letters to be first letters of the names of God. Though shalt find the ex-position in this version. Thou wilt wonder that such absurdities have infected the best part of the world, and wilt avouch, that the knowledge of what is contained in this book, will render the law contemptible.”
Read it for yourselves: https://archive.org/details/korancommonlycal00john or continue to burry your head in the sand as the author does.
Guns killing people? Left mine on the counter all day and it did nothing. Must be lazy. Fact is people kill people. I’m fine with making sure those that don’t need a gun (Criminals, Mentally ill) don’t get them. I actually live in a great neighborhood. And guess what? Bad guys come into it BECAUSE I live in a great neighborhood. And what about the guy who was looking into my daughter’s window? When I went outside just as he ran, yes, I carried my gun. I have a right to protect myself. If you don’t want to then don’t, your choice. Don’t make my choices for me. And while we are talking about it, there are risks out in the world that you are too nieve (Stupid) to realize. Did you know July 2012 we ALMOST had a world level power grid failure from a solar flare that grazed our planet? What are you going to do when there is no power, food, sanitation, running water for a year? And do you think you are going to be safe and able to call the police on your cell phone that no longer works, or from your home phone that no longer works? Want to know why the government was so nervous about the recent North Korean Satellite Launch this past Superbowl Sunday? That passed over the Superbowl at the end of the game? Google “EMP” and realize that just 3 Nukes detonated at the right point in space could throw us into the Stone age. Has almost happened and is easier to make happen. Our enemies no longer need a fleet of missles to kill us. Just one or two properly placed.
Fear of Muslims – I agree no need to fear, but your stupid not to be aware.
According to PEW Research study there are 2,750,000 muslims in the United States. Of which 7% say that suicide bombings can be justified (192,500 in this country) and 1 % say they strongly support bombings (27,500). So how do you feel knowing we have 27,500 radicals in this country, 192,500 supporters? And 69% of these muslims say that Religion is very important, and their beliefs justify murder, abuse, and violence. So 1.9 Million in America who can make the justification for killing and violence based on their teachings.

Maybe you should join the “World Peace” Hitchhiker Italian woman in 2008 hiking to Isreal with a purpose of showing how peaceful the people of the Islamic countries were. Her naked body was found in Turkey and the man who murdered her arrested.

Wake up fool. Hate them, no. Be aware, of course.

I love that you have said what I believe is truth. I love this piece, I have shared it. Thanks for speaking out as true American and also for thinking and saying what a man like Jesus would say to those who would choose to listen and hear.

Thank you so much for that rant. I wish I had said it and I’m already stealing parts of it (I do give you credit). I’m 71 year old white guy. I’m a Vietnam vet with cancer that resulted from exposure to Agent Orange. My life expectancy is short so I’m enjoying every moment. Thanks for defending vets. Thanks for reminding us we are all immigrants and standing up for Muslims. Thanks for reminding us that fear is a politically manufactured silliness. Just .., thanks.

You’re an idiot.

Thank you for this post. I originally read it when a friend posted it on Facebook, and my reaction was, “Whoa, right on!” I shared it also, and.I thereby decided to follow your blog and liked your page, because I wholeheartedly agree with you. Keep on writing! I’m a writer, too, so I know how easy it is to be distracted, but it is worth it. Carry on!

Thanks. I feel better. A little better anyway.

Before you close your mind, take a deep breath & calm down! We are being played by politicians & the 24 hrs news barf-o-matic cycle. Everyone wins except us. The politicians win, even those who lose, the News Channel win big because they can ask more for commercial spots. We are manipulated like we were stupid which we aren’t but if we let them – then we ARE STUPID or you just don’t give a sh%t & that is shameful!

Sometimes when no one is around I read this out loud and pretend I’m Samuel L Jackson in a righteous rage while I do it. ( It’s better if you know I’m an almost forty-year old slightly translucent white lady who lives in Eastern Washington.)
I appreciate your candor, your writing style, and it really doesn’t matter if I agree or not (I do agree indubitably) because I was incredibly entertained by both your style and substance.
I am a college professor who teaches psychology: critical thinking, development, research methods, etc. and I attempt to educate my students how to separate fact from opinion from propaganda all day long 🙂
Ahem. That was a rather long way of saying thank you.
Thank you.

You made me laugh with the comment about sometimes while you’re alone you do a the righteous Samuel L Jackson type speech and then adding that you’re a slightly translucent white lady. You have a great sense of humor. This rant would be perfect for that style. I would lI’ve to see it….you should video it, upload to youtube and become a viral hit!

Not unless they move the White House to Italy. 😉

Love it. However, we do live in a democracy. It is not a direct democracy, but a form of democracy nonetheless.
March 3, 2016 at 9:58 am
Samantha…not to split hairs, but we the United States is not a democracy, technically. It is a Constitutional Federal Republic. However, most state, county, and municipal governments are true democracies. So, in effect, we have a hybrid system. Peace!

Mr. Fowler,
I’m going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that this was at least in part a response to a conservative meme or something similar that you were confronted with.
Meme’s are great at beating down straw men and making us all into caricatures of our actual beliefs and positions.
Unfortunately, that’s what your response boils down to: beating down straw men and making a caricature of people you disagree with. Why not have a conversation with someone and find out why they believe what they believe? Treating people with respect would go a long way towards fixing problems with our body politic. Perhaps you’d find out that there are intelligent, reasonable, moral people with whom you simply disagree on some issues.
Sincerely,
JRF

LaMonte Fowler Who are you to tell anyone what to think or listen to? Sounds to me like you think you know everything about everything. You don’t even know what political correctness is. Every view you have is Politically Correct!
March 3, 2016 at 4:06 pm
I just asked you to read and form your own opinions. Jeez…

My opinion regarding your latest post in HuffPo: Regarding biblical Christianity, what is heresy? Second Peter 2:1 says, “There will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction.” From this verse, we see that heresy is anything that denies the teaching of Jesus. In 1 Corinthians 11:19, Paul takes the church to task for having heresies among them—heresies that led to schisms in the body. These verses touch on both aspects of what constitutes heresy in the church: denying the doctrines God has given, and dividing the body He has created. Both of these are dangerous, destructive actions that are soundly rebuked by Scripture. See also 1 John 4:1-6; 1 Timothy 1:3-6; 2 Timothy 1:13-14; and Jude 1.
