“In my own strange way, I’m a Christian, in that I really love Christ, and I think that the wisdom of Christ is the highest, strongest wisdom I’ve ever encountered, and I think that his description of the human condition is about the best description or understanding of the human condition I’ve ever encountered… I wouldn’t necess-arily consider myself a Christian in the conventional sense of the word, where I go to church or believe in cultural Christianity, but I really do love Christ and recognize him in whatever capacity as I can understand it as God. One of my problems with the church and conventional Christianity is it seems like their focus doesn’t have much to do with the teachings of Christ, but rather with their own social agenda. So that’s why I tend to be sort of outspoken about how much I dislike conventional cultural Christianity.”

I concur with the tone of the piece. I do not wear the label Christian and believe it’s unnecessary to practice the teachings of Christ. I have relinquished all Religious affiliations, so I can embrace God and the teachings of Christ. My goal is to live a Spiritual and optimistic life, with deep faith in Almighty God. I find most religions embrace divisiveness, and many border on outward hatred, completely apart from the teachings of Christ.

You say that Christians are not under attack.
What about the bakers, florists & photographers who have lost their
businesses due to anti-Christian judges. One even required a couple to see a
psychologist to de-brain their faith!
What about the mayor of Houston, TX that required pastors to send her
their sermons looking for anti-gay messages.?
What about the ACLU who has used the courts to remove all Christian
public agenda?
You say we can afford to take care for the homeless. disabled VA’s
money due them. etc. But, why is this not taken care of?
What about the billions of dollars spent on illegals that should be used to care for the above?
To me, This is like a family in great debt but continues to bring foster
children into the house.
What about CAIR (Muslim legal people) who are winning court cases to
make Sharia law replace our own laws?
What about some high ranking military generals now embrace Sharia law?
If you do not know about Sharia, (like you ask us to read) why not read about the atrocities of such a law..
